“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” (Ephesians 5:2).
In the Old Testament, the offering of a sacrifice pleasing to God gave off a “sweetsmelling savour.” When we, today, follow Christ’s shining example of walking in love, God is pleased. And this also gives out a fragrant aroma.
We should desire to shine in love, knowing Christ is the ultimate pattern we should follow.
