More Words than Actions?

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and truth” (1 John 3:18).

For years, we’ve heard the phrase, “actions speaks louder than words.”  It’s still rings true.  We can extend well wishes and offer to pray for others.  However, if we do little or nothing to show our love, our words seem hollow.  Just saying we love others means very little if we don’t back it up with some action. Shining in love may mean rolling up our sleeves to lend a helping hand.
