“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 5:15).
I like the analogy of today’s verse. To shine in obedience we must realize that we need to stay plugged into the Source. He is the vine, and we, as branches, are extensions of Him. We are powerless without Him. He is the Source of any ability or gift we possess. However, unless we tap into His power, we will never know how bright we can shine for His glory.
