“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him†(Lamentations 3:24).
Most of us probably don’t have any rich relatives to leave us any kind of earthly inheritance. That shouldn’t concern us because our hope and future lie in the hands of God. With our finite minds, we can’t begin to imagine what’s in store for us beyond this life. Words cannot begin to express the glory that awaits those ready to meet the Lord.
How can we keep quiet around others not ready to meet the Lord? We must “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear†(1 Peter 3:15b).
