“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-12).
We are working hard at becoming body builders. Fellowship gives us opportunities to use our gifts to build each other up. Whether we get together for the old “finger food fellowship” at church or just meeting one on one, we need the contact fellowship brings. Our souls need to feel they are not in the Christian journey alone. We cannot receive a smile, a hug, or a much needed pat on the back, if we don’t avail ourselves to fellowship. Plan on meeting for fellowship around God’s table.
