An Enduring Inheritance

“To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:4).

Even if, we would ever receive a significant earthly inheritance, it wouldn’t be lasting. We may try to bank it in some manner or invest it, but eventually it would be gone. When life is over, we can’t take any of it with us so it seems pointless to worry about something that will not endure forever.

As Christians, our inheritance is reserved for us in Heaven and will never fade away. It’s much simpler to live by faith allowing God to provide for us, not only in this life, but for all eternity. We have the promise of an “enduring inheritance” that nothing or no one can destroy.
