Made in His Image

“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him, male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27).

It’s humbling to think, in light of all God created, He saved the best for last. Nothing else was made in the “image of God.” Everything God made, He commented how good it was. Everything was perfect and was glowing in the light of the Creator. However, something was about to happen that would mar that perfection and try to dim His Light.

I never want to give the devil credit for anything, but he continues today to stamp out anything with the image of God. He strives to cause His Light within us to grow dim or go out. We must draw ever closer to God to keep our light shining bright until His return. If we keep shining for Jesus we are fulfilling the purpose for which He created us. We were created to serve and
glorify Him. Once we fully understand this concept, we will be willing to pray, give, or go to further the gospel. We must strive to let our light shine to point others to Jesus. Isn’t that what missions is all about?

PRAY TOGETHER: Continue to pray for home missionaries as they seek adequate, affordable places to regularly meet. Many can only rent facilities for one day a week.
