“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh†(Galatians 5:16).
We are born into sin and have a sin nature. When we are born again and receive the gift of His Spirit, we begin to walk or live a new lifestyle. Our sinful nature tends to conflict with the Spirit so you have to be prepared to do battle. It is vital for us to listen to the instructions of the Holy Spirit who will daily teach us how to “walk in the Spirit.†If we follow His instructions, we may stumble but we won’t be so apt to stray away from God. We can overcome fleshly desires but we must do this through the power of the Holy Spirit.
