Promises, Promises
Judges 11:30,31 “And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord and said, if thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, then it shall be, that whosoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surelly be the Lord’s and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.“
The Lord takes our promises and vows we make to Him very seriously. Have we kept the promises we have made to God? We must be very cautious in our prayers that we do not promise something we cannot give. The Lord would rather have our obedience than our promises.
Turn to Judges 11:32-35 and read the outcome of this passage.
