Sweet Sixteen
James 5:20 “Let him know, that he which h converted the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.â€
We recently watched college teams play their hearts out to earn a spot in the Sweet Sixteen. The boys and girls played so hard and the fans were so excited about the games. They waved team flags and shakers; they shouted and showed extreme enthusiasm for their teams.
As I was watching, a thought came over me. What if we could do the Lord’s work with such thrill and excitement? The Lord has a team and all of the players are Christian brothers and sisters. Our goal is winning souls. To win is not for ourselves but for the glory of God. To play with such vigor will make us winners.
