Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.”

Dear Journal:
Even though I have been a Christian for long years and the Lord has been with me all the way I didn’t realize I would have to gather together a new kind of courage.  I have been asked to speak at our conference to the women.  For all I have needed on this Christian journey the Lord has provided.  My husband has encouraged me and is praying for me.  I accepted the challenge and will open God’s Word where many thoughts and promises of encouragement await me and share these with the women.

Romans 15:13
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Dear Journal:
I have just returned from the WAC retreat. Today I am floating on the clouds Christ has place under my feet. I feel refreshed and strengthened through the studies, testimonies and devotions. I should not be surprised that the road of my Christian journey could take me to the pinnacle of glory. I owe the Lord my all.

I Peter 1:7
“That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”

Dear Journal:
I have been saved for many years now and it seems that my journey is getting harder. To be honest, I don’t feel very saved today! My teenagers are quarrelling with me and the church is not very happy with the prospect of me going to work. I feel like I am walking through fire and there is no relief in sight. I am just going to trust the Lord to travel with me through these trials as He has always done. I know He will lead and guide me daily in the decisions I must make. I truly need the Lord more than ever right now but I know He will be there with me.

I Corinthians 10:13
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Dear Journal:
On this journey there are no hazard signs, I had no idea satan could act so quick. A temptation came to me and I almost yielded but a verse quickly came to mind that God does not tempt. Another verse came and then another. I knew the Lord was with me and helped me get through this crisis. I am so blessed to have the Holy Spirit in my heart lead me to the escape of these temptations. This was a serious temptation and could have made ship wreck of my life but the Lord helped me through without injury.

Romans 10:13
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Dear Journal:
Tonight I gave my heart to Jesus. I ask Him to forgive me and to use me in His service. To be honest I don’t know anything about being a Christian but I will read God’s Word and talk to Him everyday. I will watch His other followers and they will help me. I am so thankful Jesus lives in my heart. Today is the first day of this journey called Christianity. I feel so good and clean inside and I am ready to travel.

Pastor Appreciation

Jeremiah 3:15
“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

Today as your pastor stands before you to preach God’s message given to him by God, take a good look at what he has done for your church and know that he has been given to you according to God’s heart. Learn to love your pastor, respect him, trust him and help him with all your heart.

Bless you pastor, you are a gift from God’s heart.

Where Are You Going?

Day Six: Matthew 25:34

“Then shall the King say unto them on the right hand, come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

Where are we going? We are going to heaven. Some who have been on this journey a long time are ready for the destination’s end. We can see the shine on their faces, anticipating that glorious, ever-after called heaven. It is a beautiful end to a trip we started at conversion. Rest and peace await us in glory.Yes, we are going to heaven, and if we don’t meet again on earth, we will see each other in our eternal home.
