Willing to Die?

“Hereby perceive we the love of God because he laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”  (1 John 3:16).

There’s no doubt how much God loved the world. He gave His only begotten Son to die for us.  This was agape love.  As hard as we try to love as Christ did, are we willing to “lay down our lives for the brethren?”  God’s love was real and selfless, a pattern for us today.  Shining in love means we are willing to die, if necessary, for Him or for His people.
