Don’t Distort

“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him” (1 John 2:4).

Whether we want to admit it or not, we have some kind of influence in this world.  As true children of God, our walk and talk must match.  If they don’t, we are living a lie.  We send a confusing message to those around us.  Be aware of the fact, God is not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33a)  If we are going to shine in truth, we must make up our minds whose side we are on.  We must also shine in obedience.  The gospel message we give and live must always be clear and plain, far from distorted.
