God sends Jesus for a Purpose

“For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:17).

God loved the world so much He was willing to give His only begotten Son for a specific purpose. Our verse today clearly tells us what it was. Jesus was the sinless Son of God, the spotless Lamb of God, and the only One who could be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. We deserved to be condemned to death, but through the blood of Jesus, we are saved. What marvelous love!

Jesus fulfilled His purpose. We, as His children, are on this earth for a purpose as well. We are to bring honor and glory to the One who was willing to die for our sins. Seek God’s direction in what His Will is for your life. Then faithfully labor to fulfill His plan for you until His return.
