“It is finished: and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost†(John 19:30b).
We cannot comprehend all Jesus faced before and during the Crucifixion. He was a man on a mission. He gave of Himself completely to do the work His Father had sent Him to do. Then dying in agony, His Father had to turn away from the sight of His Son bearing our sin on the Cross. Jesus died that we might live. Thank God for the last words on the Cross, “It is finished.â€
