Living in the Present (Part One)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  It’s a brand new year.  It’s a time to let go of the past and focus on today.  As all of us know, through the years, changes have been implemented in WNAC.  I think a real blessing was when single women were welcomed into its membership.  Another change was the new name for auxiliary, Women Active for Christ.

I remember when I could remember every missionary name and field.  Today I doubt I could do that.  However, the harvest is still great and laborers are few. Though the magazine has changed its title through the years, I believe its contents have inspired women to use their gifts for God’s glory. We live in an ever-changing world with people who still need a never-changing God.  We must embrace change without compromising our values. I believe WNAC still lives up to the purpose for which it was founded. I like this statement, “WNAC continues to provide opportunities for each woman to fulfill her God-designed roles in the home, church, community, and world.” Women can still grow in Christ through mission action, mission study, and mission prayer. Tomorrow I will share some personal comments about the present.
